1.1 The Chair welcomed Members and members of the public to the meeting.

2.1 The Committee received evidence from Lesley Griffiths AM, Minister for Communities and Tackling Poverty, and her officials.


2.2 The Minister agreed to write to the Committee with:

·         an explanation of how the definition of ‘carer’ contained within the Renting Homes (Wales) Bill differs to the definition used in the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014, and the reasons for these differences; and

·         details of any evidence relating to the number of retaliatory eviction claims in Wales.
