Cross Party Group

Purpose

The group will seek to promote understanding amongst Assembly Members and other relevant groups about Wales’ construction industry as well as the wider built environment and its impact upon key political areas including heritage, planning, business support, low carbon, procurement, economic development and housing supply. It will work to support construction as a priority sector under Economic Renewal: A New Direction, to ensure that Wales has a world-class construction industry delivering best value for its clients, promote a safe environment on its sites, a diverse workforce and an approved as well as sufficiently supported career path and employment prospects for its people.
