Regional Education Consortia

Regional Education Consortia

The Auditor General for Wales prepared a memorandum (PDF 347KB) for the National Assembly’s Public Accounts Committee which provided an update on progress in response to recommendations set out in his June 2015 report Achieving improvement in support to schools through regional education consortia (PDF 1MB).

The memorandum builds, in part, on the participation of Wales Audit Office staff in the Estyn-led inspections of the four consortia that took place between March and June 2016.

The Committee considered the findings in the Report, which was published in November 2016, on 27 March 2017. The Committee responded to the Welsh Government’s White Paper on Local Government Reform: ‘Resilient and Renewed' in April 2017.
