Introductions, apologies and substitutions Minutes: 1.1 The Chair welcomed Members to the meeting of the Culture, Communications, Welsh Language, Sport, and International Relations Committee. 1.2 The Chair congratulated the Welsh men's football team for qualifying for the Fifa World Cup. 1.3 The Chair also congratulated the team responsible for Wrexham's bid for UK City of Culture 2025. 1.4 The Chair highlighted that in May, the National Music Service was launched to increase opportunities to learn to play an instrument in school. The Chair noted that the UK Music Venues Trust pilot scheme was also launched, to purchase venues and rent them back to operators at a fairer rate to secure their future and help them grow. These were initiatives recommended by this, and the predecessor to this Committee, in the Fifth Senedd. |
