agreed to extend the time allocated to the Debate on a Statement: The Draft
Budget 2022-23 from 60 to 90 minutes.
Wednesday
Business Committee
agreed to table a motion to elect Sioned Williams as a member of the Children,
Young People and Education Committee in place of Sian Gwenllian, following her
appointment as a Designated Member. Plenary format Business Committee
discussed the format of Plenary meetings for future weeks. A majority agreed
that Plenary will remain virtual next week, with the position for future weeks
to be kept under review. |

Additional guidance on the operation of Plenary proceedings during the Co-operation Agreement Minutes: Business
Committee noted the additional guidance to be issued by the Llywydd under
Standing Order 6.17. Sian Gwenllian expressed the Plaid Cymru group’s objection
to the reduction to the number of spokespeople questions that its Members will
be called to ask without notice during Oral Questions to Ministers. Business
Committee agreed to consider the options for the scrutiny of Designated Members
and the Leader of Plaid Cymru further at a future meeting. |
