Purpose:
An Assembly Member Bill, introduced by Peter Black AM. Peter Black AM was successful in a legislative ballot on 29 November 2011, and given leave to proceed with his Bill by the Assembly on 1 February 2012. The Business Committee remitted the Bill to the Communities, Equality and Local Government Committee.
During Stage 2 proceedings on 13 June 2013, the
Communities, Equality and Local Government Committee agreed to amend the short
title of the Bill from Regulated Mobile Home Sites (Wales) Bill to Mobile Homes
(Wales) Bill (amendments 65 and 99).
About the Bill
The purpose of the Bill was to establish a licensing regime for mobile home
sites in Wales and to make further provision in relation to the management of
such sites and the agreements under which mobile homes are stationed on them.
Current Stage
The Mobile
Homes (Wales) Act 2013 (external website) became law in Wales (external
website) on 4 November 2013.
