1       Introductions, apologies, substitutions and declarations of interest

1.1 The Chair welcomed Members to the meeting.



2       COVID-19: Evidence session with Papyrus and Samaritans Cymru

2.1 The Committee received evidence from representatives of Papyrus and Samaritans Cymru.



3       COVID-19: Evidence session with academics

3.1 The Committee received evidence from Professor Ann John and Dr Antonis Kousoulis.

4.1   Letter from the Minister for Health and Social Services regarding the Statutory Instrument Consent Memorandum - Reciprocal and Cross-Border Healthcare (Amendment etc) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020

4.1 The Committee noted the letter.



4.2   Letter from the Minister for Health and Social Services regarding the Code of Practice on the Delivery of Autism Services public consultation

4.2 The Committee noted the letter and agreed to respond to the Minister in writing.



5       Motion under Standing Order 17.42 (ix) to resolve to exclude the public from the remainder of this meeting

5.1 The Committee agreed the Motion to exclude the public from the remainder of today’s meeting.



6       COVID-19: Consideration of evidence

6.1 The Committee considered the evidence received.



7       Legislative Consent Memorandum for the Medicines and Medical Devices Bill: Consideration of additional written evidence and approach to the report

7.1 The Committee considered the additional written evidence from the Minister and discussed its conclusions for the draft report. As the Committee is not scheduled to meet next week, Members agreed to sign off the final report over email.



8       Forward Work Programme

8.1 The Committee discussed its forward work programme for the next half term, up to Christmas recess. The Committee agreed to continue to focus its work on the impact of Covid-19 on health and social care in Wales, and to continue to pause other non-Covid-19 related work. This will be reviewed at the start of the spring term.
