P-04-551 Basic First Aid To Be Taught In Schools
P-04-551 Basic First Aid To Be Taught In Schools
We, the undersigned, hereby call upon
the Welsh Government to make it compulsory for all pupils in their GCSE years
to undergo basic First Aid training.
We believe that first aid is an essential life saving skill that every young
person has the right to have and as such should become a compulsory part of
secondary education. Being trained in first aid can carry a lot of
responsibility but has a lot of benefits. In dangerous situations first aid
training can make the difference between life or death. So just knowing how to
put someone in the recovery position or even by calling an ambulance
effectively can save lives.
