Legislative Consent: Prisons and Court Bill

This is a matter where the consent of the National Assembly for Wales is sought by the UK Government to legislate on an issue which could normally fall within the competence of the Assembly.

The Children, Young People and Education Committee considered the Legislative Consent Memorandum for the Prisons and Courts Bill on 5 April 2017.

The Prisons and Courts Bill fell in April 2017 due to the dissolution of the UK Parliament, therefore legislative consent was not required.
