Background

 

Following the leave vote in the EU Referendum held on 23 June 2016, the External Affairs and Additional Legislation Committee was established to examine the implications for Wales of the United Kingdom’s withdrawal from the European Union.

 

The Research Service of the Senedd will be publishing regular Brexit updates and monitoring reports as the process of withdrawal unfolds over the coming months and years.

Monitoring reports

 

The Brexit monitoring reports provide updates on the UK Government’s exit negotiations with the EU. The report provides a summary of the latest developments, including the latest documents and legislation published. It will also provide an analysis of the key issues of interest to the External Affairs Committee and a summary of the Welsh Government’s response to the latest developments.
