Inquiry into the sustainability of the health and social care workforce
Inquiry into the sustainability of the health and social care workforce
Inquiry5
Concerns about
the recruitment, retention and sustainability of the NHS workforce in Wales
were well-publicised. The former Health and Social Care Committee undertook an inquiry
into the GP workforce in Wales and also identified the wider health and social
care workforce as an area of potential inquiry in its Fourth
Assembly Legacy report.
The Committee
carried out an initial, broad piece of evidence-gathering to help understand
what the key workforce issues are across the health and care sector. This
helped inform its approach to looking at workforce issues during the Fifth
Assembly.
Evidence gathering
The Committee
invited responses on this topic. The responses have been published.
