The Welsh Government published its plan for a primary care service in Wales up to March 2018 on 6 November 2014.
In recognition of the pivotal role played by GPs in primary care, and concerns which have been expressed about the sustainability of the GP workforce, the National Assembly for Wales’ Health and Social Care Committee undertook a short inquiry into the GP workforce in Wales. The aim of this work was to seek to inform the development of the Welsh Government’s primary care workforce development plan.
