Inquiry into Poverty in Wales: in-work poverty
Inquiry into Poverty in Wales: in-work poverty
The
Communities, Equality and Local
Government Committee undertook an inquiry into poverty in
Wales. The inquiry was divided into four strands, each focusing on one
particular issue. Each strand was self-contained, with its own terms of reference,
but taken together formed an overarching piece of work.
In
the time available before the end of the Fourth Assembly the Committee did not
have the opportunity to undertake an inquiry into this strand.
The
Committee had agreed the following terms of reference.
To
consider:
- the trends and factors contributing to
the high prevalence of in-work poverty in Wales;
- the Living Wage;
- financial inclusion and preventative
approaches to tackling in-work poverty.
Business type: Committee Inquiry
