Purpose of the consultation
The
Children, Young People and Education
Committee is undertaking a consultation on the draft Additional Learning Needs and
Education Tribunal (Wales) Bill. The Committee would like to invite you to
submit written evidence to assist with its consultation. In particular we would
like you to provide information on:
- your views on the
Bill generally, and whether further work is needed, prior to formal
introduction of the Bill; and
- what your main
concerns are in relation to the Additional Learning Needs system, and
whether the Bill addresses these.
In
considering the draft Bill, you will wish to refer to the draft
Additional Learning Needs Code (PDF, 986KB) which supports it. It is
important to note that this is a draft Bill, and the supporting Code is for
illustrative purposes only.
We
would welcome your views on the questions listed on the consultation
form (Word 1.2MB), which should be used for submitting your evidence.
The
Committee welcomes responses from both individuals and organisations on any or all of the above points.
The
Committee welcomes contributions in English or Welsh, and we ask organisations
with Welsh Language policies/schemes to provide bilingual responses, where
applicable, in line with their public information policies. We will consider responses to the inquiry and
hold oral evidence sessions during the autumn term.
Submissions
should arrive by Wednesday 11 November
2015. If you have any queries, please contact Gareth Rogers on 0300 200
6357.
