Enterprise and Business Committee


The Committee was established on 22 June 2011 with a remit to examine legislation and hold the Welsh Government to account by scrutinising its expenditure, administration and policy, encompassing economic development; transport and infrastructure; employment; higher education and skills; and research and development, including technology and science.

Committee Sub Groups



  • The Committee’s consultation on Bus and Community Transport Services in Wales has now closed. The Committee is in the process of holding oral evidence sessions on this topic and will scrutinise the Minister for Economy, Science and Transport on 3 December.
  • The Committee has finished taking evidence on its Potential of the Maritime Economy in Wales inquiry. The report is due for publication in the New Year.
