This committee from the Fourth Assembly has been dissolved. New committees will be formed during the Fifth Assembly

The Committee was established on 25 November 2014 with a remit to examine the policy and legislative considerations surrounding the removal of the “reasonable punishment” defence in relation to battery of a child, further to section 58 of the Children Act 2004. The Committee’s remit also stated that it would be dissolved following the debate on its report.
