Given the First Minister’s Written Statement on the European Union (Withdrawal)
Bill, issued on 13 July, the Committee asked the First Minister a number of
questions on his Statement and on the implications of the Bill for Wales. 1.2
The Committee scrutinised the First Minister on the Welsh Government’s approach
to building a strong economy. The First
Minister agreed to provide further information or clarification to the
Committee on: ·
Who
would step in to take the rail franchise forward in the event that the
procurement process runs into difficulty; ·
Further
support for those who want to proceed to create new sources of news; ·
Ways
in which the Welsh Government could encourage and support skilled NHS staff
nearing the end of their career to allow them to inspire young people to
consider a career in the Welsh NHS and to pass on their experience, knowledge
and skills before they retire. |
