1.1        The Chair welcomed Members to the meeting.

2.1 The Chair welcomed Lesley Griffiths AM, Minister for Environment, Energy and Rural Affairs; Christianne Glossop, Chief Veterinary Officer; Tim Render, Director Environment and Rural Affairs; and Gian Marco Currado, Director Environment and Marine, to the meeting.

2.2 The Minister agreed to provide a written note outlining criteria attached to funding provided by the Welsh Government to livestock markets for upgrading facilities that provides information on livestock.

2.3 The Minister agreed to provide a note on incidences of bovine TB relative to herd size.

3.1 The Minister agreed to provide a note outlining the ten areas of non-legislative common frameworks in her Ministerial portfolio.

3.2 The Minister agreed to provide a note with further information on ‘fisheries litter’.

3.3 The Minister agreed to provide the Committee with an update on delivery of the Rural Development Plan.

3.1 The Committee resolved to exclude the public from items 5 and 6 of today’s meeting.

5.1 The Committee discussed the evidence received under items 2 and 3 and identified key issues to pursue further with the Minister.

6.1 The Committee discussed and agreed the draft report on the Wild Animals and Circuses (Wales) Bill subject to a minor amendment.
