2.1 The Committee received evidence from Anne Meikle, Head, World Wild Fund for Nature (WWF) Cymru; Llinos Price, Policy Officer Wales, Woodland Trust; and Annie Smith, Sustainable Development Manager, Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) Cymru.

3.1 The Committee noted the correspondence from the Minister for Environment, Energy and Rural Affairs.

4.1 The Committee resolved to exclude the public from items 5,6 and 7 of today’s meeting.

5.1 The Committee discussed the evidence received under item 2.

6.1 The Committee agreed the proposed timetable for consideration of the Wild Animals and Circuses (Wales) Bill. It was agreed that the Chair would write to the Business Committee on this matter.

6.2 The Committee agreed to invite the Minister for Environment, Energy and Rural Affairs to its meeting on Thursday 18 July 2019 to give evidence in connection with the Bill.  This is subject to the Bill being introduced by that date.

7.1 The Committee received a briefing from Filippos Proedrou, Research Fellow, University of South Wales, on research undertaken on behalf of the Assembly on addressing the climate policy gap in Wales.
