marks the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day and the end of the first world
war. 2. Welcomes the Royal British Legion’s
‘Thank you 100’, which remembers those who served, sacrificed and changed our
world between 1914 and 1918. 3. Honours the contribution of those who
have served and continue to serve in our armed forces. 4. Calls upon the Welsh Government to
appoint an armed forces commissioner for Wales to ensure that the Armed Forces
Covenant is upheld. The following
amendments were tabled: Amendment 1 - Julie James (Swansea West) Delete point 4 and replace with: Welcomes the appointment of the Armed
Forces Liaison Officers across Wales and the collaborative approach of the
Armed Forces Expert Group in ensuring the Armed Forces Covenant is upheld. Amendment 2 - Neil McEvoy (South Wales Central) Add as new point at end of motion: Calls on the Welsh Government to bring
about a no soldier left behind Act that would guarantee quality housing and
healthcare to veterans who have seen active service. Minutes: The item started at 17.34 Voting on the motion and
