Legislative Consent Motion on the Policing and Crime Bill NDM6098 Rebecca Evans (Gower) To propose that
the National Assembly for Wales, in accordance with Standing Order 29.6 agrees
that the provisions in the Policing and Crime Bill, which amend the Mental
Health Act 1983 and the Sexual Offences Act 2003, in so far as they fall within
the legislative competence of the National Assembly for Wales, should be
considered by the UK Parliament. A Legislative
Consent Memorandum has been laid in Table Office on 22 June 2016 in accordance
with Standing Order 29.2(i) and (iii). Supporting

National Assembly for Wales, in accordance with Standing Order 29.6 agrees that
the provisions in the Policing and Crime Bill, which amend the Mental Health
Act 1983 and the Sexual Offences Act 2003, in so far as they fall within the
legislative competence of the National Assembly for Wales, should be considered

the National Assembly for Wales: Notes the
publication by the UK Government of the draft BBC Royal Charter and draft BBC
Framework Agreement. 'Draft BBC Royal
Charter and draft BBC Framework Agreement' Supporting Document ‘Written Statement by
the Minister for Lifelong Learning and Welsh Language – BBC Charter Review’ The following amendments have been tabled: Amendment 1. Rhun ap Iorwerth
(Ynys Môn) Add
as new point at end of motion: Notes
the positive references to S4C in the Draft BBC Framework Agreement and in
particular the reference to the shared aim of S4C and the BBC working together
to observe and safeguard each other's independence. Amendment 2. Rhun ap Iorwerth

as new point at end of motion: Calls
on the UK Government to ensure that the forthcoming review of S4C's remit and
funding, due to take place in 2017, considers the level, and most appropriate
way, of funding S4C in the long term to safeguard its independence and to
ensure it is able to deliver high quality programmes for Welsh audiences for

that the BBC must support the regional and minority languages of the UK, and to
continue to support the provision of output in the Welsh language; and (c)
that the diverse perspectives and interests of the public and audiences across
