Point of Order

The item started at 16.19

Simon Thomas raised a point of order regarding whether the Welsh Government’s would be making a statement on reaching agreement with the UK Government in relation to the European Union (Withdrawal) Bill. The Presiding Officer stated that she had not received any request from the Government to make a statement today.

The Cabinet Secretary for Finance confirmed that the Welsh Government would bring forward a statement on The European Union (Withdrawal) Bill the following day, concerning the agreement reached between the Welsh and UK Governments.  Amendments to the Bill would be published by the UK Government in the morning, along with the text of the inter-governmental agreement.  The Cabinet Secretary noted that this would allow Members time to consider the documents before scrutinising the Government.
