Wales, in accordance with Standing Order 11.21(ii): Notes the Welsh Government’s priorities and
legislative programme. Supporting
Documents ‘The Programme for Government’ ‘The Legislative Programme 2016-17’ The
following amendments have been tabled: 1.
Paul
Davies (Preseli Pembrokeshire) Believes
that the Programme for Government and the legislative programme do not inspire
the necessary confidence or detail required to improve the life chances of
people and communities across Wales. Believes
that Plaid Cymru's Programme for Opposition sets out a more ambitious and
comprehensive agenda for Wales during the fifth Assembly. 'Plaid
Cymru's Programme for Opposition' Add
as new point at end of motion: Regrets
the lack of performance measures contained in the Programme for Government that
would allow both the National Assembly and Welsh citizens to evaluate the Welsh
Government's progress on priorities. Regrets
that the Programme for Government makes no reference to the United Kingdom's
withdrawal from the European Union, and the Welsh Government's failure to
outline measures it intends to introduce in order to address the consequences
of this decision for Wales. Regrets
the lack of detail contained in the Programme for Government regarding the
measures the Welsh Government will introduce in order to achieve the priorities
outlined within it. Calls
on the Welsh Government to plan its legislative programme to ensure that enough
