This Week's Business Minutes: The Minister
for Finance and Government Business updated the Committee on changes to
Government Business on Wednesday. Members queried why the Minister for Natural
Resources’ Statement on Climate Change had been withdrawn. Business
Managers noted that voting on all items of business other than Stage 3 would
take place before Stage 3 proceedings begin on Tuesday, and that all votes in
relation to the Violence against Women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence
(Wales) Bill would take place during Stage 3 proceedings. The Presiding
Officer informed Business Managers that she intended to suspend proceeding for
a ten minute break before Stage 3 proceedings begin. |

Letter from the Health and Social Care Committee: Safe Nurse Staffing Levels (Wales) Bill Minutes: The Chair of the Health and Social Care Committee
(HSC) wrote to the Business Committee to request an extension of the deadline
for Stage 1 consideration of the Safe Nurse Staffing Levels (Wales) Bill to
allow them to hear more evidence. Business Managers agreed the proposed extension of the
deadlines to complete Stage 1 proceedings from 10 April 2015 to 8 May 2015 and
with an associated extension for the Committee to complete any possible Stage 2
proceedings from 5 June 2015 to 17 July 2015. |

Paper to note - Letter from the Public Accounts Committee: Extended meeting time Minutes: Business Managers noted the intention of the Public
Accounts Committee (PAC) to start some meetings earlier than their usual 9am
time slot in order to conclude an inquiry the Committee had agreed to undertake
before Easter. |

Any Other Business The Minister for Government Business informed Business
Managers that there may be an LCM scheduled for debate in Plenary on Tuesday 17
March on the Small Business, Enterprise and Employment Bill in relation to
non-discrimination against NHS whistle-blowers. The Government will bring
forward a paper on the LCM for the Business Committee’s consideration next
week. |
