The Committee agreed to close the petition on the basis that it is not possible to further progress the issue given the difficulty in contacting the petitioner, and the fact that the petition was considered as part of the Enterprise and Business Committee’s Inquiry into Bus and Community Transport in the Fourth Assembly.

The Committee considered correspondence on the petition and agreed to:

 

  • group the petition with other bus services in Wales related petitions, and ask the Committee Clerk to bring forward suggestions for a short piece of focused work on the issues: and 
  • ask the Enterprise and Business Committee to consider whether this issue fits into their forward work programme

The Committee considered correspondence on the petition and agreed to write to the following stakeholders seeking their views on the issue;

  

·         Gwynedd Council;

·         Disability Wales;

·         Age Cymru;

·         the Older People’s Commissioner; and

·         the Children’s Commissioner;

 

Joyce Watson informed the Committee of her findings from the visit that took place with the petitioners. She thanked the petitioners for meeting with her and talking about their issues of concern and the staff at Barmouth library for their hospitality during the visit.
