The Committee considered
correspondence on the petitions and agreed to:
- close the Tenby Minor Injuries Unit petition, but to write to Hywel
Dda Health Board seeking clarification on the new service provision in
relation to the need to be registered with a GP;
- seek the petitioner’s views following the Minister’s statement on the
neonatal unit at Glangwili; and
- at the petitioner’s suggestion defer further consideration of the
Save our Services petition until the outcome of the judicial review.

considered correspondence on the petition and agreed to:
· write to the Minister seeking further details on the purpose of the expert scrutiny panel;
· draw the Minister’s attention to the further correspondence from the petitioners and ask that this is taken into account by the panel;
· await the Minister’s decision in the light of the advice he receives from the panel; and
· seek a response from Hywel Dda Health Board, copying in the Minister and raising concern about the length of time taken to respond to the Committee’s correspondence.

write to Hywel Dda LHB about Tenby Minor
Injuries Unit asking if they will be able to meet the conditions laid out by
the CHC when providing alternative minor injuries provision in Tenby; and
·
write to the Minister for Health and Social Services seeking an update
on progress on Prince Philip and Withybush services
and asked to be informed when a final decision is made.
