tHIS BILL IS UNNECESARY AS child abuse and violence is already illegal. Smacking as part of loving parental discipline is not abuse. It will lead to a case of can't see the wood for the trees as the police and social workers will be overwhelmed with reports of smacking and the poor children who really need the protection will get missed.
(we would be grateful if you could keep your answer to around 1000 words)
No, as this bill is unnecessary.

Finance and manpower. It will take money and manpower away from real children needs, leading to children suffering.

yes , parents will be criminalised for something which shouldn't be a criminal offence. Manpower and money will be sidelined to investigating smacking offences instead of being used on genuine child abuse situations.

potentially , stopping smacking will lead to more child on child violence. Smacking can be used to warn children of a danger, so a child's safety will be put at risk.
