Parents who care about their children may need, from time to time, to correct them using a smack - not hitting or thrashing them.
Our own children have been disciplined in this way and have proved to be well balanced, members of civil society. They now, in
their turn, are taking a similar course.

There is, I understand, a law which protects children against violence. A smack is not violence.

Society will suffer unintended consequences if children are not corrected when it is necessary that they should be.

Parents know their own children better than anyone else does. They therefore should be left with
the responsibility to train/teach them to behave in a civilised manner. Children become confident
members of society when they are safe and secure in the care of their loving parents.
