They should get a diagnosis asap I was lucky with my son getting a diagnosis within a year some people are not that lucky...but even with his diagnosis after 2 years of trying we still can't get him any help in school or transferred to a more specialised unit |

The person's doctor should be consulted on the person being assessed as in .most cases they have known the person all their lives and can give a better rundown on the person's behaviours ect |

Sometimes ticks as we call them can stop an autistic person being employed as they can't keep still and also some like my son have Tourettes which also puts employers off |
