Yes The spectrum is so wide and as a mum of a severely autistic child, I feel my son doesn't get as much help as is needed. When you have programmes on such as the A word it doesn't show the severe side of autism and people just think oh is that what autism is, it's not that bad then. My son self harm to the extent of breaking his own nose and lashes out at other people, he has to have 2 carers all the time due to his challenging behaviour and he is non verbal which makes him extremely vulnerable. People need to know about this side of the spectrum also . |

There need to be more schools as there are hardly any or children get excluded from them if they have challenging behaviour. Doctors need to have a much better understanding and social services Autism should be seen as a lifelong disease as when parents |
