Yes

The spectrum is so wide and as a mum of a severely autistic child, I feel my son doesn't get as much help as is needed. When you have programmes on such as the A word it doesn't show the severe side of autism and people just think oh is that what autism is, it's not that bad then. My son self harm to the extent of breaking his own nose and lashes out at other people, he has to have 2 carers all the time due to his challenging behaviour and he is non verbal which makes him extremely vulnerable. People need to know about this side of the spectrum also .

Something needs to get done desperately so there is more of an understanding and guidelines what to do and more training seriously needs to be given to doctors, schools etc

In my experience a lot of professionals have been scared of my son or not known what to do so I feel they give up, if they want to do their jobs properly they need to help a lot more

I completely agree with this as I feel some people judge you because of this disability

No I think it's a good idea as a lot more really needs to get done now for autism

There need to be more schools as there are hardly any or children get excluded from them if they have challenging behaviour.
